Kayla Banks
KAYLA BANKS (Afro-Native non-enrolled Choctaw and Creek Freeman and Eastern European is a choreographer, dancer and actor from Denver, Colorado where she received her B.A. in Performing Arts and Business Administration from Colorado State University. . She has trained with José Limón, Cleo Parker Robinson and International Blacks in Dance Conference. She has danced professionally with Impact Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson and Dancing Earth. She has performed in an original work by Anya Pearson in New York City at The Public Theater. She is a recipient of the New Expressive Works and CoHo Theater Residency where she debuted an original work in March 2019 around multi-ethnicity and an original dance musical in 2021. Her work is featured in the virtual gallery yəhaw̓ Indigenous Creatives as Afro-Native artist. Her focus is on wellness, dance technique, spirituality and expression with Earth and living creature connections.
