A Cacophony of Organized Chaos is an interactive experience
where audience members use their handheld device to deliver
pre-recorded sounds through the devices built-in speakers. In addition, I
will live mix other audio recordings in response to the room sounds.
At this time of this proposal deadline, the first iteration of this interactive
project is in production with a debut performance on Friday, November
18th as part of my exhibition at Edmonds College in Lynnwood, WA. The
following is the preliminary agenda for the 20 minute performance.

1. Prior to the start of my performance, six color coded cards will be
passed out to ACES participants.

2. Each card will have a QR code printed on it.

3. Those attending the performance are invited to participate by
using their smartphone to scan the QR code.

4. The QR code will lead the user to a website with a pre-recorded
audio track.

5. I will instruct the audience members to ensure that their device is
playing the audio through the speakers as a test.

6. Once the testing is complete, I will have the audience press the
play button on their device at the specified time by showing the
appropriate colored card.

7. While all of the participating devices are playing the separate
tracks simultaneously, I will play and mix additional audio tracks
from my laptop in conjunction to the overall room sound.

8. The audio performance will be accompanied by a video.

projection of my time based media project on a big screen.
9. Grand finale
