ACES // Artists of Color Expo & Symposium is a BIPOC-led, community-curated program featuring art exhibitslive performancespresentationsworkshopsfilm screeningsartist talksartist opportunity tables and art marketWe are coming together with intentionality to value our work and see one another as resources, while focusing on the challenges and solutions we face as artists of color in the Pacific Northwest.

ACES 2023 is a hybrid event, presented online and in person.

My art emanates from profound experiences of loss, grief, and love in the context of the Venezuelan diaspora, intergenerational struggles, and transcultural experiences. My dark humor mixes with a curiosity for the world (aka chisme), and a desire to connect with others. I reflect on systemic injustices, communal resistance, and personal realities that continuously have clashed and coexisted in history - and how they inform a singular moment of our life. I also seek to pay tribute to people and movements that made it possible for me to be who I am today.
