‘Framing Portraiture as an Act of Love’ is inspired by my reading of bell hooks. The aim of the workshop is to express love for self and community through portraiture. I will talk about myself and my work. Afterward, I will speak about intentionally in portraiture. Then, I will teach attendees some compositional tools to use along with their intention to guide their practice. Attendees will break off into groups for the cellphone portrait activity. Lastly, the group will come back together to share their portraits.
