ACES // Artists of Color Expo & Symposium is a BIPOC-led, community-curated program featuring art exhibitslive performancespresentationsworkshopsfilm screeningsartist talksartist opportunity tables and art marketWe are coming together with intentionality to value our work and see one another as resources, while focusing on the challenges and solutions we face as artists of color in the Pacific Northwest.

ACES 2023 is a hybrid event, presented online and in person.

Back by popular demand, this FAMILY FRIENDLY interactive experience features artists Khadijah Jordan and Mujale Chisebuka. Hosted by Merri Ann Osborne, Executive Director/Mahogany Project, attendees will meet the artists and hear their artistic journeys. The conversation will be followed by hands-on workshops where you can create your own cartoon characters, find the superhero within and explore storytelling through a comic and animation lens. Coming together as community, attendees are encouraged to share their artwork and take home their new creations. Art supplies will be provided. All ages are welcome and children are encouraged to attend! No experience is required! Let’s have some fun!!
